The village of Kulykiv, Lviv region, western Ukraine hosted the monument of Bohdan Stupka, the famous Ukrainian actor. This is where the Hero of Ukraine and the People’s Artist of Ukraine was born 76 years ago.

Press service of Ukraine’s culture ministry added that the monument was solemnly opened near the museum in the People’s House of Kulykiv, Stupka’s hometown; the ceremony was timed to the actor’s 76th anniversary.  

Bohdan Stupka, the prominent Ukrainian movie and theatre actor, played over a hundred roles in his career. He died in July 2002 and was buried at Baikove cemetery in Kyiv.
