Investigations into the actions of police and civilians are underway

Leading officials of municipal and regional police of Dnipro were fired – as the ones responsible for the misconduct in yesterday’s showdown. Arsen Avakov, the Interior Minister reported that at Facebook.

As 112 International wrote, veterans of Donbas conflict and their supporters got into a fight with those carrying banners and flags with Soviet symbols in Dnipro city on May 9. Six policemen and eight civilians were injured; 15 were detained.

Similar action took place in Kyiv and several other regions of Ukraine.

Two investigation groups were formed in order to look into the actions of the policemen and the civilians involved in the brawl.
