‘We’ve got charter flights (to Istanbul, - 112 International), they operate regularly in summer; however, at this time of year, we mostly take in those coming from Antalya. Currently, we’ve got no flights from the airport in Istanbul, so no flights were cancelled. An aircraft is heading right now to Kyiv from Antalya; another two flights are slated for 11.30 and 12.30. It’s OK, none of these gets cancelled, ’ said Halyna Bohdanenko, head of Kyiv airport press service.
According to the official, security measures in Kyiv airports are now tightened, however, they have nothing in common with the terrorist act in Istanbul. ‘These measures were tightened long time ago, and so it’s been before the events in Istanbul’, Bohdanenko said.
