Organizers of Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv plan to set the fan zone in the city’s downtown; the tourism department of Kyiv’s city hall reported that on January 13.
‘Since the contest will be taking place amidst May holidays, there won’t be many people in streets, and the road traffic is not likely to be very tense. Maybe we won’t even have to shut off the roads,’ a representative of the department said.
The fan zone will include several locations for those who cannot visit the main venue of the contest in Kyiv.
European Song Contest ‘Eurovision 2017’ will be hosted in Kyiv – thanks to Jamala’s victory at Eurovision 2016 with her song 1944.
The main venue will be set at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv. Semifinals are slated for May 9 and 11; the final is scheduled for May 13.
