In the Polish city of Elk during the protests because of the murder committed by migrant, detained 28 people aged 17 to 50 years, including foreigners. It is reported by PAP.
On December 31 in the city of Elk in north-eastern Poland 21-year-old Pole Danel was killed. Two stab wounds discovered on his body, probably made by knife.
The charge of murder was brought against a citizen of Tunisia. The fight occurred near the restaurant. Police announced the arrest of four people, among whom there were foreigners. Unofficially it is known that in addition to Tunisian we are talking about citizens of Algeria and Morocco.
The investigation revealed that the victim came into the restaurant and ordered two bottles of drink, then left without paying. Tunisian citizen started a fight with him. It is also reported that Polish companion threw a firecracker at the door of the restaurant.
After the tragic fight on Sunday, January 1 in the center of Elk crowd gathered, someone broke the glass in the windows and destroyed the property of the restaurant. After this clashes with the police started.
On Monday, January 2 Interior Minister Mariusz Blaschak informed about the detention of 28 people, including four employees of the restaurant and 24 persons who participated in the street battles. According to him, they will be severely punished. The Minister of the Interior added that the city is safe, police monitors the situation.
