Halloween is coming in Ukraine

The biggest zombie-parade in Kyiv and lots of other activities countywide to put fear on Ukrainians on October 30

Kyiv is plunging into the scary atmosphere of the holiday together with the whole world on October 31. Halloween is relatively new for Ukraine, but a common thing for the young Ukrainians. Its mysticality adds to its popularity greatly.

Plenty of fancy-dress parties are to be held in Ukraine. Restaurants are offering pumpkin pies. Others offer horror-movies nights.

For the record, Zakarpattya, western region of Ukraine, made Halloween an official day off this year. Catholics mark the All Saints' Day on November 1. People commemorate their deceased relatives, visit their tombs, order services in churches.

The most massive public zombie fest starts on Sunday near the monument to Yaroslav the Wise (near Zoloti Vorota station). Unprecedentedly huge number of zombies, ghosts, mutants and other evil spirits shall revive and spread the zombie virus in the downtown of Kyiv. The survivors shall get the mission to shoot the zombies.

Apart from that numerous zombie fests shall be held in Kyiv on October 29 – 31, locating near cemeteries of course. Shocking selfie-zones, witch fairs and hell street food fests are announced by plenty of restaurants, coffee-shops, shopping malls and event agencies.

The Sabbath on the Bare Mountain, the cultic point of the evil spirits in Kyiv, offers a fire-show, fortunetelling, horror tours guided by authentic Druids.
