Ukraine condemns the launch of a ballistic missile in North Korea (DPRK) on February 13, 2017, reports the MFA press service.

Thus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out those actions on the part of Pyongyang are a direct violation of UN Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2321, adopted in November 2016.

The Office notes that the launch of ballistic missiles by North Korea can not only lead to further escalation of tension on the Korean Peninsula, but also to further worsening of the security situation in the world.

Ukraine as a state that voluntarily lost nuclear capacity and steadily adheres to the principles of nuclear non-proliferation will use all possible leverage as a non-permanent UN Security Council member for the return of the DPRK in the international legal field.
