The Serbian film director and musician Emir Kusturica arrived to the annexed Crimea for a concert with The No Smoking Orchestra in Yalta, TASS reports.

In addition, the director commented to Russian journalists expressing the conviction that Crimea is "also a part of the Russian Federation".

Kusturica also said that he plans to visit the attractions of the annexed peninsula for possible making of the film.

It should be noted that the serbian film director repeatedly stated his support for Russia in relation to Crimea and Donbas. Kusturica also stated that "Russia shouls protect Russians who live in Ukraine."

Because of this, in July 2015, a concert with the participation of Kusturica was canceled in Kyiv.
