The truck driver who drove into a group of soldiers in Jerusalem, was Palestinian and probably a supporter of ISIS terrorist grouping. This was announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reports Daily Mail.

"By all indications, the attacker was a supporter of the Islamic state", said Netanyahu. According to his words, the truck driver has been identified.

The Prime Minister also noted that there may be a link between the terrorist attack in Jerusalem and the recent terrorist attacks in France and Germany.

Authorities temporarily blocked the Arabic district Jabel Mukaber in Jerusalem, where the  truck driver lived, and now other measures to prevent such attacks are planned.

Earlier Mercedes truck ran off the road and crashed into a group of Israeli soldiers and civilians. In the result of the terrorist attack 4 people killed, 15 injured. The truck driver was killed on the spot.
