The person suspected of committing a terrorist attack at the Christmas fair in Berlin was shot in Milan. This was reported by Reuters with reference to a source in law enforcement bodies.

"The suspect was shot dead in a gunfire incident in Milan, Italy," the statement said.

At the same time the police of Denmark reports that a man that looks like a terrorist was noticed in Aalborg, in the north of the country, and recommends to stay away from the area because of a special operation being conducted there.

Italian Interior Ministry confirmed that a person shot in Milan is the suspect in case of Berlin's terrorist attack.

The man killed in a shootout in Milan is "without a doubt" a suspect in the terrorist attack at the Christmas fair in Berlin, according to the Interior Minister of Italy Marco Minniti.

The gunfire incident occurred at 3 am when the police was checking his identity. When he was asked to show documents, he pulled out a gun from his backpack and was killed in the shootout.

This police officer was wounded as a result of the incident.

Different sources in Milan and Rome confirmed that it was Amri who was killed. He was identified by his appearance and fingerprints, ANSA writes.

Earlier it was reported that a video of the Berlin terrorist attack appeared in the media. The video was provided to Reuters by the taxi driver who was waiting for his client near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
