The outbreak of the African Swine Fever (ASF) is observed in Zakarpattia, Rivne and Dnipropetrovsk regions of Ukraine. The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection confirmed the information as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

The dead pigs were found in the private households in Pavshyno (Zakarpattia region), Ostrivtsi (Rivne region) and Slovianka (Dnipropetrovsk region). The bodies of the pigs were sent for the analysis to the State Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise in Kyiv.

The examinations of the collected samples of the biological material determined the diagnosis of ASF and the preventive measures were taken to localize and to keep the ASF in bay.
