After-shakes from earthquake in Romania reach Odesa

Residents of the southern Ukrainian city reported weak shakes late at night

The 5.6-point earthquake in eastern Romania reportedly reached Odesa, southern Ukraine; weak after-shakes of 3-4 points were clearly tangible in the city on small hours of December 28. Dumskaya.net reported that on Wednesday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter of the quake was located not fat Nereju village, Vrancea province, which is widely known for its seismic activity.

Residents of Odesa reported that doors and floor boards in their houses creaked, and spoons jingled inside cups as the shakes reached the city.
