The companies of Russia origin supply DPRK with petroleum products and other goods while the act of the US economic sanctions against Pyongyang imposed due to the development of the nuclear program. The Washington Post reported this citing the data received from the unnamed present and former representatives of the White House.

According to the newspaper, the active supplies of the petroleum products and other goods that are essential for DPRK began this spring by a few organizations that have the Russian origin. The sources of the Washington Post revealed that the petroleum tanks were sent to DPRK from Vladivostok and other ports of Russian Primorsky Krai.

As the newspaper noted, at the same time the Trump’s administration supported the economic sanctions against DPRK, including the ban on export of the petroleum and diesel gas oil with a hope that these restrictions will complicate the development of the nuclear program of DRPK and force Pyongyang to make a peace treaty. The American present and former officials think that Russia helps DPRK to resist the extension of the sanctions and economic pressure from the US.

According to the newspaper, the Russian companies use the smuggling roads to supply goods to DPRK. The Washington Post makes an example of such company Velmur Management that is registered in Singapore and has the Russian asset. The company was initially made to support DPRK in the purchase of the petroleum products and money-laundering for the North Korean for financial establishments and structures that fell under the sanctions.

The American officials recognized the impossibility to physically interfere the supply of the fuel to DPRK until Russian authorities will condone such trade. However, the US undertook restrictive actions against the companies that run business with DPRK including the fact that they prefer to get profit in American dollars.

The UN Security Council supported the imposing of the new sanctions against DPRK on September 12. The Russian Permanent Representative in the organization also voted in the affirmative.

The DPRK announced about the successful trial of the hydrogen bomb on September 3. The order to hold the trials was made by the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un. The DPRK confirms that the trial of the hydrogen bomb did not lead to the radiation leak or any other negative influence on the environment.

The world society condemned the actions of North Korea. The President of US Donald Trump claimed that Washington considers the possibility to stop the trade relations with any country that cooperates with DPRK, despite the strengthening sanctions. Also, Trump did not exclude the use of the nuclear weapons by the US against Pyongyang.
