Russia to launch railroad bypassing Ukraine in summer 2017

Russian Federation to launch railroad bypassing Ukraine already on 15 August 2017. This was stated by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Army General Dmitry Bulgakov, reports "Interfax".

"The railway communication on the site Zhuravka-Millerovo will be already open on August 15, 2017. On this day, by this double-track electrified railway line the first train with people and goods will be launched", - he said.

In his words, "thus, the task set by the Russian President regarding construction of the railway by Russian Railway Troops and JSC" Russian Railways "will be performed ahead of schedule, more than a year before the deadline."

Russian Railway Troops carry out construction of Zhuravka-Millerovo railroad bypassing Ukraine, the road will take place on the territory of Voronezh and Rostov regions. It is planned to build seven railway stations and five substations, as well as carry out complete electrification of the branch.

Cost of the project last year was estimated at 55 billion rubles.
