The government of Russia stands against the aggravation of the economic pressure towards North Korea. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov claimed this as RIA News reported.

According to Lavrov, the capabilities of the economic sanctions against Pyongyang are almost depleted.

The sanctions are imposed in accordance with the decision of the UN as at August 5, 2017. It is noted that the UN sanctions should be implemented in 30 days after the approval of the resolution.

The UN Security Council imposed new sanctions against Pyongyang as the result of the systematic missile trials of North Korea. They can cost almost one billion of dollars for North Korea.
