The Russian authorities are considering the possibility of extradition of former NSA employee Edward Snowden to the USA, which can be a good gift to President Donald Trump.
This was announced by NBC television, citing intelligence sources.
According to the source, such talk among the representatives of the Russian government emerged after the inauguration of Trump.
"For Russia, it would be a safe bet. They have already received from Snowden all that they needed in terms of information," said former deputy national security adviser Juan Zarate.
The lawyer of ex-employee of NSA Ben Wisner said that Snowden's team did not receive the relevant "signals" and had "no new cause for concern." Snowden himself wrote on Twitter that NBC considers the information as "conclusive evidence" that he had not collaborated with Russian intelligence.
