This morning in Surgut (Russian Federation),  a man with a knife attacked passers-by, wounding eight people. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to the report, the policemen who arrived at the scene killed the attacker. Now police finding out his personality, motives and other circumstances of the incident.

The victims were taken to hospital with wounds of varying severity.

According to the anonymous source of "Lenta.ru", the attacker is Bobichel Abdurakhmanov, a native of Central Asia. The interlocutor specified that strangeness was noticed in his behavior, but he was not registered in specialised medical institution.

Data on his mental illness are now being checked.

The "Islamic state" took responsibility for the attacks in Surgut. This is reported by SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors the activity of terrorists, with reference to the Amaq agency connected with ISIS.


As it was reported earlier, a man with a knife attacked people in the centre of Turku. In 20 minutes, the attacker was arrested, as the law enforcers fired at his legs. Eight people were wounded, two died in the attack.
