France's MPs arrive in occupied Crimea

Some of them have already visited peninsula year ago

The delegation of 11 French deputies, headed by the French National Assembly member Thierry Mariani, has arrived in the occupied Crimea. Interfax agency reports this.

The State Duma of Russia member and the the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the "Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and links with compatriots" Leonid Slutsky accompanied French MPs.

"I think it will be a useful and efficient visit", Slutsky said.

The sides will discuss the national minorities’ issues, as well as some legal issues, Mariani stated.

Some of the members of the French delegation visit the occupied Crimea for the second time. The previous visit took place in the summer of 2015.
