Vitaliy Serdyuk, the lawyer of the fugitive ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, insists on the arrest of Yuriy Sergeev, former Ukrainian envoy in the UN. Lawyers of AVER LEX company, where Serdyuk works, already prepared respective petition.

According to Serdyuk, when Sergeyev served as a high-ranked diplomat, he told his UN counterparts that the events in Ukraine in early 2014 (Euromaidan movement and the Revolution of Dignity, - 112 International) took place within legal frameworks.  ‘However, such actions were deliberate misinformation of the international society’, Serdyuk said.

Yanukovych’s lawyer insists that the Euromaidan activist and the-then opposition seized power by force. He also says that Sergeev’s actions made some European ministers ignore Yanukovych’s letters, which the ex-president’s defence team recently presented.
