US not to place ABM system in the Black Sea - State Department

However, "Aegis" system will start its work in Romania this year

United States of America do not plan to place a missile defense system in the Black Sea. This was stated by US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Frank Rose, reported  TASS.

"No. We have no plans to deploy these systems in the Black Sea." - said Rose.

USA allocates $50 million to support National Guard and State Border Service of Ukraine

At the same time he confirmed that the “Aegis” system which is a part of part of the European missile defense - will start its work in Romania this year. In Poland, the missile defense system will be put into operation in 2018.
