United States of America may impose new sanctions against North Korea because of the launch of a ballistic missile, according to Reuters.

In addition, US notes that the White House is also considering the idea of referring to the Chinese leadership and propose them to influence on North Korea.

At the same time the administration of Donald Trump seeks to avoid measures that could lead to an escalation of the situation in the region.

Among the possible countermeasures were named an increase in US military presence on the Korean Peninsula and the acceleration of the deployment of a missile defense system in South Korea.

Earlier US President Donald Trump reaffirmed "100% support" for Japan during the joint press conference with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Florida.

"I just want everybody to understand and fully know that the United States of America stands behinds Japan, its great ally, 100%." Trump said.
