United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution on the imposition of new sanctions against the DPRK
According to the new resolution, restrictions are imposed on the supply of petroleum products to the DPRK. A limit is set for the supply of crude oil - volumes should not exceed those figures of the past 12 months. In addition, the DPRK will not be able to buy condensates and gas condensate liquids and will not be able to sell textile products.
The Security Council stressed that they are ready for a dialogue with North Korea, but did not specify specific measures that the parties can take to resume the dialogue.
As it was reported earlier the U.S. urged the UN to tighten sanctions against DPRK. US proposes oil embargo, ban on export of textile products, and also to freeze all foreign financial assets of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and forbid him to travel abroad.
