The Government of Ukraine intends to introduce the monitoring of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman claimed this during the negotiations with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker within the Ukraine-EU summit that takes place in Kyiv.
According to him, Ukraine will fulfill its obligations within the program of the reforms that began in 2015, the Association Agreement and offer the EU to discuss the new program of the support of Ukraine.
‘The Government of Ukraine works to create the innovative tool of the monitoring of the implementation of the Association Agreement, the so-called Agreement Pulse that will be introduced since September 2017 and reckons on the proper support of EU in this direction’, the press service of the Ukrainian Government reported citing the words of the Prime Minister.
Also, Groysman expressed the interest in the EU support in the sphere of the social adaptation and reintegration of the internally displaced persons and invited the European partners to join the start of the program that supports the restoration of Donbas.
The 19th Summit Ukraine-EU started in Kyiv. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is the chairman of the summit. The President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker represent the European delegation. Also, the members of the Ukrainian Government and the European Commission will take part in the summit.
After the conclusion of the summit, Poroshenko, Tusk and Juncker will deliver the joint speech.
