Ukraine joined The Strong Europe Tank Challenge, the international friendly competition in Germany. The event, which kicked off on May 7 and will be running until May 12, involves battle tanks and crews from Ukraine, five NATO member countries (USA, Austria, Germany, France and Poland) and NATO partner countries.
On the occasion, Ukraine’s largest state-run defence enterprise Ukroboronprom modernized several T-64s, the Ukrainian army’s main battle tanks. The vehicles will join the competition on the behalf of Ukraine, the enterprise’s website says. The modernization works included setting Ukraine-made devices, such as thermal scanners for every crew member, modern satellite navigation systems and new digital radio stations.
