Ukraine’s Security Service will not send its agents to France for Euro 2016

SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak said this at Monday briefing in Kyiv

“Of course, we can’t include Alpha team (the SBU’s special task force unit, - 112 Ukraine) into the line-up of national football teams, so full responsibility for the civil security during these events rests entirely with the law enforcement agencies of the host country”, Vasyl Hrytsak said at the briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel on June 6.

According to him, the SBU has no intentions to send any of its workers to guard the Ukrainian squad at Euro 2016. “We tightly cooperate with French law enforcers”, the official said.
