In early 2017, the Ukrainian government will sue Russia in the World Trade Organization (WTO). The reason is that Russia is badly limiting imports of Ukraine-made products. Natalya Mykolska, Ukraine’s trade representative, said this during Tuesday press conference.

‘We’re now getting ready with all the evidence of such facts, and we’re about to file the lawsuit in early 2017,’ Mykolska said. She added that the Ukrainian government will keep on using the WTO and other organizations so as to eliminate all trade barriers for Ukrainian goods.

In summer this year, Ukraine urged the EU to enhance pressure on the Russian Federation so as to put away the limitations for the transit of Ukrainian products. These limitations lead to cutting down of Ukrainian exports to the Caucasus region and Central Asia by 48 percent on the average.
