Ukraine unilaterally broke the television and radio broadcasting agreement with Russia, concluded by Ukraine and Russia back in 2000. The decision was taken on the meeting of the government on Wednesday, November 30.

Apart from that, the information cooperation agreement was also denounced.

Kyiv officially broke off friendly relations with Moscow this May. Later in June Ukrainian authorities limited the broadcast of 58 Russian TV channels on the territory of Ukraine. Besides, Petro Poroshenko denounced five cooperation agreements with Russia in different areas a year before.
