Turkey Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is going to visit Ukraine on February 9-10 on the occasion of the Fifth Meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group, functioning under the High Level Strategic Council between Turkey and Ukraine. It is reported on the website of the Turkish Foreign Ministry press service.
During the meeting Minister Çavuşoğlu and his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin are going to discuss Turkish-Ukrainian bilateral relations at the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties and new cooperation opportunities.
"Furthermore, the two sides will have a comprehensive exchange of views on current regional and international issues with a special emphasis on the situation of Crimean Tatars as well as the recent developments in eastern regions of Ukraine", reads the report.
It is also noted that the two Ministers are eager to sign a “Plan for Consultations” after the talks.
Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu will also meet with Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, Ambassador Ertuğrul Apakan.
