Olexandr Turchynov remembered that under Article 1 of the basic law of the state, Ukraine is a sovereign, independent and democratic country, so any amendments should only strengthen its statehood and independence.
Turchynov also mentioned constitutional amendments approved during the rule of ex-President Yanukovych, which also eventually brought this rule to an end.
