"There were many speculations on this issue. The fact is that martial law can not be introduced on the request of politicians, as a political formula of country's existence. No. Martial law is imposed solely on the basis of threats to national security. And if there are any threats to our sovereignty and security of the country as a whole, first and foremost military threats, of course, according to the Constitution, martial law should be introduced. And do not be afraid, do not panic. But in the case of the first scenario, or a serious deterioration on the eastern front, we must respond correspondently. This is introduced only in case of danger for the country", - Turchynov told.
