US President-elect Donald Trump vowed to build up the navy fleet to prevent new threats from Russia and China. This was written by the Associated press.

The Navy estimated that it is needed to increase the number of ships up to 355, which is more than the number called by Trump during the election campaign.

Military offer, among other things, to acquire another aircraft carrier, 16 large surface ships and submarines and 18 nuclear-powered attack submarines.

As the agency writes, shipbuilders are interested in such an idea, but it is not clear where funding will come from. Naval analyst at the US Congressional Research Service suggests that Navy need an additional $ 5 billion to $ 5.5 billion to the existing annual budget for this purpose.
