Donald Trump has obviously chosen Ex-Democrat Joe Lieberman as a candidate to chair the FBI, instead of the recently fired James Comey. The U.S. leader said that himself during the meeting with his Columbian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos – as quoted by CNN.

‘Trump said he is "very close" to choosing a new FBI director to replace James Comey. And asked if Lieberman, the Democrat-turned-independent senator from Connecticut was a top candidate, Trump said yes. He met with Lieberman Wednesday and found him "agreeable," a source said’, the article reads.

Joe Lieberman is an American politician, having served as a U.S. Senator from Connecticut from 1989 to 2013. A former member of the Democratic Party, he was the party's nominee for Vice President in the 2000 U.S. presidential election.
