North Korean ballistic missiles will reach the territory of the United States by 2020. That is the conclusion reached by experts from the Institute for National Security Strategy of South Korea, the "Yonhap" reported.

Experts expect that the DPRK will develop intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching US mainland by 2020. It is noted that the number of nuclear warheads has recently significantly increased in North Korea.

"The seriousness of the North Korean nuclear program lies in the rapid growth in the number of warheads, as well as its miniaturization and diversification. The North is estimated to have succeeded in developing nuclear warheads on par with boosted fission weapons through its fourth and fifth nuclear tests," the report said.

In spite of the frequent failure of the launches, North Korea will be able to solve these problems, as well as to start a successful launches of ballistic missiles from submarines - it is a matter of time, experts say. At the same time, US military bases not only in South Korea but also in Japan will be jeopardized.
