Russian authorities announce about the start of gas supplies to the annexed Crimea from the mainland territory of Russia. This was reported by Interfax.

It is reported that today Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to start gas supplying of the peninsula from the mainland territory of Russia after the completion of works on connecting the gas transportation system of the occupied peninsula to Russia’s main gas pipelines.

The total length of the pipeline is 358.7 km, including double-strand crossing through the Tuzla lake and the Kerch Strait, as well as offshoot pipeline to Simferopol of 27.3 km length.

As it was reported earlier that Chornomornaftogaz was nationalized by the so-called authorities of Crimea after the annexation of Crimea by Russian Federation. Naftogaz Ukraine and its six other affiliated companies initiated arbitration proceedings against Russia concerning the seizure of assets in the Crimea.
