Russia announced "first visit of Ukrainian politicians" to occupied Crimea

Deputy head of the Russian State Duma's Committee on Nationalities Ruslan Balbek declared about "the first visit of Ukrainian politicians" to the occupied Crimea, RIA Novosti reports.

"Today, parliamentarians of many countries, including European ones, go to the Crimea to then tell their people about the real state of affairs on the peninsula," Balbek said.

According to him, the delegation included members of the European Parliament, politicians from the CIS, Latin America, as well as "sensible Ukrainian politicians who are not under the influence of nationalist frenzy."

"This is the first visit of representatives of Ukrainian politics," added Balbek.
