Russia accused Syrian militants of conducting chlorine chemical attack of the government Army of Bashar Assad. This was announced by the official representative of Russia Defense Minister General-Major Igor Konashenkov on Monday, - Tass reported.

“Ground samples taken by Russian officers of the Scientific Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection confirm the use of chlorine as a toxic substance by the militants,” Konashenkov said.

The chemical attack happened in the evening on November 13 in the eastern region of Aleppo (Karim-Dzhazimati). Syrian military officers saw mine or gas cylinder explosion launched from artisanal multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) before chlorine poisoning.

In response to this, Russian Ministry of Defense called on the authorities of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to send specialists to Aleppo.

Earlier it was reported that Russia used parachute bombs in Aleppo, 11 people were killed, another 25 people were injured.
