Pyatt: U.S. will not lift sanctions in exchange for Savchenko’s release

The Ambassador stressed it is only possible when Russia fulfills its commitments in frameworks of Minsk agreements

“As for the U.S. – under no circumstances”, Pyatt said, answering the question about possible cancellation of sanctions against Russia due to the release of Nadiya Savchenko (Ukrainski Novyny). According to him, the restrictions imposed on the Kremlin for Russian aggression in Donbas will be lifted only after Moscow complies with Minsk agreements.
