The Russian leader will come to the annexed peninsula with working visit

Russian president Vladimir Putin comes to the illegally annexed Crimea with the working visit; according to Interfax news agency, the Russian leader is heading to the peninsula on Friday, August 18.

Putin will visit a school in Sevastopol and historical reservation park Chersonesos Taurica; he will also meet the local scientists, his press service said.  

Last time Putin came to Crimea was in June; back then, he visited Artek youth camp.

Due to Putin’s visit to the occupied Crimea, Ukraine’s foreign ministry sent a protest note to their Russian counterparts; in it, the Ukrainian side calls Putin’s visit to Crimea a violation of norms of Ukrainian and international law.
