Ukraine has lost up to 20% of its industrial potential because of Donbas hostilities. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko during his speech at the meeting of Regional Development Council, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Industry suffered the most from the war, after all, up to 20% of the country's industrial potential is lost. But industrial growth stopped 3 more years before the aggression in 2011 and I do not know yet, have we finally turned this long negative trend to positive," said the head of state.

Earlier Poroshenko offered temporary halt of transport connections with the occupied territories of Donbas – until the Russia-backed militants pass the Ukrainian enterprises back under the Ukrainian jurisdiction.
