President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will pay a visit to Brussels on October 20, where he will hold a series of meetings with the leadership of the European Union. This was reported in the press service of the Administration of the Ukrainian state.
In particular, Poroshenko will meet with European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.
The leaders of Ukraine and the EU institutions are going to discuss the situation in the Donbas region and the Crimea, the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements and prospects for the sanctions against Russia in response to its aggression against Ukraine. The meeting participants will also discuss the progress in implementing reforms and ways to strengthen EU support and will coordinate further steps towards the ratification of the Association Agreement and visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens.
Also there are planned the bilateral meetings of Ukrainian President with the leaders of the individual EU Member States on the eve of the EU Summit on 20-21 October in Brussels.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will host a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
Recall there was a Normandy format meeting on October 19 in Berlin.
