President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has accepted the credentials from the ambassadors of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Bakir Ahmed Aziz Al-Jawf, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azer oglu Khudayar Khudiyev. It is reported by the press service of the President’s Administration.

The President noted that Ukraine is interested in development of bilateral relations with Iraq, which is one of the largest importers of Ukrainian products in the Middle East.

Poroshenko and Bakir Ahmed Aziz Al-Jawf discussed the resumption of political dialogue and deepening of trade and economic contacts between Ukraine and Iraq.

In a conversation with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Azer oglu Khudayarov Khudiyev President noted the consistent position of Ukraine and Azerbaijan regarding mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries within internationally recognized borders.

The two sides also stressed the importance of implementation of the agreements reached in the framework of the Fifth Meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan, and the 11th session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission for economic cooperation, which took place in 2016.
