President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has accepted the credentials from the Ambassador of Poland Jan Peklo. A Spokesman for the Head of State Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote this on Twitter on October 26.
"The President received letters of credence from the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Jan Peklo", wrote Tsegolko.
As reported in August, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland has officially appointed the new ambassador to Ukraine Jan Pieklo.
Previously, Jan Peklo said that "Europe can not be a secure place without a democratic and independent Ukraine". Prior to this appointment he headed the Foundation for Polish-Ukrainian cooperation PAUCI.
