North Korea launches ballistic missile in Japan’s direction

The Japan’s Defense Agency tells the missile was launched towards the Japanese Sea and may fall in the country’s exclusive economic zone.

North Korea launched a ballistic missile from its Eastern shore in direction of the Japanese Sea. According to the Japan’s Ministry of Defense, the missile may fall in Japan’s exclusive economic zone, Reuters informs providing a link to South Korean military.

The Agency believes that it was a ballistic missile. NHK channel refers to The Defense Agency of Japan and tells that the missile was launched towards the Japanese Sea and may fall in the country’s exclusive economic zone. The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force called the ships for caution and asked to be informed in case they detect missile debris on the water surface.
