The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has not yet received confirmation that Ukrainian politicians visited the occupied Crimea on the occasion of the anniversary of the so-called "referendum" on its annexation. This was reported by the speaker of the agency Olena Hitlyanska on Facebook.
"Information about the citizens of Ukraine in this delegation has not been confirmed yet," she said.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Nationalities Ruslan Balbek declared about "the first visit of Ukrainian politicians" to the occupied Crimea.
In turn, NSDC Secretary Oleksander Turchynov instructed the SBU to check information about the visit of Ukrainian politicians and politicians from other countries to the Crimea to impose sanctions against them. Against Ukrainian citizens law authorities could also open criminal cases.
