Montenegro government issues arrest warrant for two Russians and three Serbs suspected of coup

The Montenegro Prosecutor General's Office issued an arrest warrant for five people involved in organization of the coup attempt. According to the announcement on the official website of the General's Office, two Russian citizens and three Serbian citizens are suspected of the criminal organization and the attempt of terrorism.

According to the Montenegro authorities a group of 20 people had to assassinate the building of the parliament using deadly force and had to announce the victory of a certain political force.

Another aim was to detain the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic.

“The organizers of the criminal group ware the nationalists from Russia who believe that the authorities in Montenegro can’t be reelected, but need to be pull down,” the Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic.

At that the Prosecutor’s Office notes that they have already notified the authorized bodies of the Republic of Serbia of the international search as the law-breaker may be hiding out.
