Today's meeting of Minsk Trilateral Contact Group is over; specifically, the Ukrainian side emphasized on the release of all hostages and clearing mines in the combat area. According to OSCE Special Envoy Martin Sajdik, the next meeting of the Group is slated for April 20 (RIA Novosti).

The Ukrainian delegation noted that as long as fights in Donbas continue, the effective mine clearing of the area is impossible. Daria Olifer, press secretary of Ukraine’s representative in the Group Leonid Kuchma, posted this at Facebook. “The ceasefire regime and the withdrawal of weapons and vehicles from the division line may take place only after implementation of basic provisions of Minsk agreements. Only after that, one can talk about full-fledged work in humanitarian, economic and political areas”, she wrote.
