Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, who is on a three-day visit to Washington, on Wednesday held personal meetings with US President Donald Trump and Vice President Michael Pence.
This is stated in the message of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.
"President of the United States Donald Trump met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in the White House, where the parties discussed further support of Ukraine from the United States," the Ukrainian diplomatic mission said.
Before that, the head of the Ukrainian foreign ministry met with US Vice President Michael Pence.
"The parties discussed in detail the development of the situation in Donbas, Pavlo Klimkin thanked for the unchanged position of the US administration in supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine and counteracting Russian aggression," the report said.
The meetings were also attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaliy.
"After the meetings with the top leadership of the United States, Minister Klimkin reported on the results to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko," the Ukrainian embassy said.
