The vote count after the second leg of French parliamentary election is over; the pro-presidential force, En Marche! leads the way, French Interior Ministry says.   

Emmanuel Macron’s party is to get 308 of 577 seats in the lower chamber of the French Parliament. His key opponent Marine Le Pen’s National Front will only gather eight seats.

German leader Angela Merkel already congratulated Macron on his party’s victory.
