Macron privately talks to Trump at G20 summit

French President Emmanuel Macron worked his way through G20 leaders to have a private chat with US President

Leaders of the G20 gathered for a picture when Emmanuel Macron appeared to have a different plan to sneak a quick word with President Trump. This was reported by Express.co.uk.

Frenchman Mr Macron began by working his way through G20 leaders shaking hands in the middle of the group.

In footage from Bloomberg, Mr Macron can be seen brushing past leaders on his way to get to the front of the picture.

Mr Macron slid past the US President before standing next to him while photographs were being taken.

Seconds after the photo opportunity finished, Mr Macron swiftly turned towards President Trump and began speaking to him.

As the rest of the G20 leaders began to walk away the pair continued privately speaking as Mr Macron tapped the US President on the chest. 

Leaders at the G20 are expected to discuss climate change, migration and the global threat of Nroth Korea, while the summit continues to be blighted by angry protests. 

As it was reported earlier Macron, Merkel and Putin will discuss situation in Ukraine on July 8. The discussion will be held in the format of working lunch.
