110 cyber attacks on servers of the European Commission occurred throughout 2016. The Financial Times reported that with a reference to its informed source.

The source mentioned that most of the attacks, up to 80 percent, did some damage to the servers, but the data protection systems operated properly, which prevented data loss.

The European Commission is reported to have increased cyber security measures, jointly with NATO. The EU authority refuses to comment on the issue, the FT wrote.
